About

I have worked in the floral industry since I was a child. After coming to Canada in the 1980s, my parents created a company importing flowers from around the world. Through their hard work they helped establish the market bouquet industry in southern Ontario. One of my earliest memories is selling bouquets on street corners. My parents then opened a successful flower shop until retiring in 2004. Over those years, I learned so much about floral design and while I was basically born into the world of flowers, I also fell in love with it.

For the last 20 years, I have worked as a freelance floral designer and event planner. Through this amazing experience, I have learned about the many products available to designers and the many "tricks of the trade". The inspiration for these vases came from my many years of adapting containers for different purposes. My goal was to design a container that is not only functional and appealing, but also one that reduces waste. With the help of some brilliant engineers, I was able to bring my vision to life with the Canvase.
